HONOR held a live-streamed event today to replace its presentation at MWC, and in addition to a couple of new phones, there are also new laptops. The new HONOR MagicBook 14 and HONOR MagicBook 15 are identical on the inside, but come in different display sizes to suit your preference.

Possibly the most striking thing about the new HONOR MagicBook is the design. Most of the device is either Space Gray or Mystic Silver - the color options HONOR is offering - but the edges of the lid are chamfered in an azure blue color that helps the laptop stand out. The HONOR logo on the lid also uses the same color.

As far as specs go, the laptop is powered by AMD's Ryzen 5 3500U APU, which includes Radeon Vega 8 graphics. HONOR didn't go with the recently-announced Ryzen 4000 series, which may be a drawback for some, but it should still be a decent processor. To cool the processor, the company is using an S-shaped cooling system with 49% more fan blades that promise more airflow and better heat dissipation.

As for other specs, the HONOR MagicBook comes with 8GB of dual-channel RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. There don't seem to be many configuration options for most of the internals.

For the display, HONOR is using a FullView panel with minimal bezels all around, which means that there's no space for a webcam above the screen. As we've been before, then, the camera is hidden under a dedicated button on the keyboard. One thing that seems to set this one apart is that there's an LED flash, which will presumably help with low-light scenarios. There's also no space for a Windows Hello camera, so there's a fingerprint sensor built into the power button instead.

The HONOR MagicBook does have a healthy supply of ports, though, with one USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0). It also includes a full-size HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The USB Type-C port is used for charging the 56Wh battery in the 14-inch model, and it supports 65W fast charging, promising to charge it up to 46% in 30 minutes. Interestingly, HONOR says the 15-inch model charges up to 53% in the same time, but it didn't say how big the battery is.

Finally, the HONOR MagicBook will be running Windows 10, and it will come with support for HONOR MagicLink 2.0. This is similar to Huawei Share on the MateBook laptops, and it lets you drag and drop files between your phone and your laptop. It also now supports sharing your phone screen to your laptop, so you can control it from there.

The HONOR MagicBook with 256GB of storage will be available at the end of March in select markets including the UK, France, and Germany, and it will start at €599. As for the 512GB version, HONOR says it will share more details later.
