Hi HONOR community,
As you maybe already know, the HONOR 9X PRO was officially unveiled at the HONOR Livestream conference on the 24th of February. And, I am sure that you are just as excited about this new release as I am!
Outstanding cost-performance and powerful features have made the HONOR X series a bestseller among HONOR's products. Now the HONOR 9X PRO is here, and it successfully builds on this legacy.
At first glance, the HONOR 9X PRO literally shines. The 3D glass back cover is finished in a color HONOR calls "Phantom Purple", which is simply breathtaking. The phone is also available in "Midnight Black".
HONOR phones are known for their trendy designs, and the HONOR 9X PRO is no exception. Its flashing "X" pattern shifts dreamily as it reflects the light. A very nice feature I must say!
The HONOR 9X PRO packs a 6.59-inch, 2340 x 1080 resolution LCD screen, and forgoes a notch by incorporating a pop-up front camera. Despite its screen size, the bezel-less design makes handling the phone easy and comfortable, even though I prefer using one hand.
Now, you might feel a bit anxious about that fragile-looking pop-up camera. What if the phone slips out of your hand when you're taking selfies? Thankfully though, the designers of the HONOR 9X PRO have you covered. The phone is equipped with a protection mechanism, so the camera automatically detects if the phone's in free fall, and retracts to safety.
The fingerprint sensor is found on the side, and doubles as the power button for ease of access.
The HONOR 9X PRO's rear camera has a tri-lens array, combining a 48MP main image sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
To really appreciate how stunning HONOR 9X PRO photography can be, you need to see some examples.
This backlit shot captures the full glow of both the lamp and the wine glasses, rendering detail most flawlessly throughout the balanced image.
This picture produces a stunning contrast between the illuminated tabletop and the pitch-black background. You can see subtle variations in the shading of the objects in the foreground, and the sea of darkness behind them is punctuated with intense bursts of distant light.
Even in challenging lighting conditions, the HONOR 9X PRO reproduces color accurately. It can also use shallow focus to emphasize the contrast between the foreground and background.
When taking portrait shots, the new HONOR phone enhances skin tone and texture in an entirely natural way. Just look at how this subject glows compared to her subdued surroundings.
As you probably noticed, the photos above were all taken in dim indoor settings, which is a challenge even for the best mobile cameras. It's no problem for the HONOR 9X PRO though, thanks to its amazing ability to capture light even in poorly-lit environments, as well as its AI-driven video stabilization technology.
Most of us do more than just take pictures with our phones though, so I'd be remiss not to mention how well the HONOR 9X PRO handles gaming. It's fitted with the HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor (one of just a handful of 7nm chipsets, the most powerful products of their kind), and its NPU is based on Huawei's own "Da Vinci architecture" NPU (which scored the highest at AI benchmark tests as of its release date, outperforming even Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 and Huawei's own Kirin 980). It also features GPU Turbo 3.0, which handles even the most graphically-demanding games with ease.
Whether you're a longtime HONOR fan, or just love that shimmering purple design, the HONOR 9X PRO gives you stunning style and powerful performance.
It has been a refreshing and exciting moment for me discovering the HONOR 9X PRO and I would love to hear what all of you think, like or even dislike about it?
