[Tutorial] 8 Best Fixes for HONOR Band 5 not pairing with Android and iPhone
If the HONOR Band 5 is not pairing with Android or iPhone, here are the fixes that you should try!
The HONOR Band 5 will still work even if not paired with an Android or iPhone. But to unveil more smart monitoring features and synchronize data with the phone, pairing is necessary. In case you encounter the problem that the HONOR Band 5 is not pairing, for example, the band isn’t visible in the search list of the Huawei health app, or in other cases, you are not able to confirm the pairing, try these.
Note:
The HONOR Band 5 could pair and connect with only one phone.
If it’s paired with a phone and connected properly via Bluetooth, then in the search list of the Huawei health app on another phone, you are not able to see the name of the HONOR Band 5 at all.
If it’s paired with a phone, but you disable Bluetooth on the phone to disconnect, then the name will appear.
Some watch faces on the HONOR Band 5 will show its Bluetooth status. When yours doesn’t show that, the simplest way to check is, swipe down the screen until you find more, then find phone feature. Touch that and if the HONOR Band 5 is paired with a phone already, on its screen you could see looking for phone icon.
1. Follow correct steps to pair the HONOR Band 5 with Android or iPhone

For the below steps, after each step, you can try to pair the HONOR Band 5 with your phone again until when the problem is solved.
2. Reset the HONOR Band 5 if it connects with another phone before.
Swipe up or down the screen of the HONOR Band 5 until you find more, then system, reset. Touch that.
Please note that resetting the band will remove data.
3. Clear cache of the Huawei Health app on your android or iPhone
Go to settings, apps, Huawei health app. Touch that and on the next page press storage, then clear cache.
4. Restart the phone and the HONOR Band 5
Swipe up or down the screen of the HONOR Band 5 until you find more, then system, restart. Touch restart.
Sometimes the phone may be the problem. So we could also try to restart the phone to solve many issues even if this phone may find the Bluetooth of another fitness tracker properly.
On the phone, long-press the power button, then restart and power off will appear on the screen. Touch restart.
5. Update firmware of the phone and the Huawei Health app
Go to settings on the phone, then system & update, software update. Touch that to check if another firmware is available. If yes, update your Android or iPhone first.
After that, go to the app store and check if there is a firmware update for the Huawei Health app. You may also try to remove the Huawei Health app then install it again from the app store.
6. Deactivate then activate the Bluetooth
The HONOR Band 5 pairs with a phone via Bluetooth. You may also try to turn off the Bluetooth for a while on your Android or iPhone. Then activate that again.
Swipe down on the screen of your phone, or get the search bar in another way, then type in the keyword Bluetooth. After that, you can turn off/on Bluetooth.
7. Try to change language and region on your Android or iPhone
Change language and region on Android:
Go to settings, then system & update, Language & input. Touch that and change language to English (united kingdom) or English (United States). You may try other options also.
Or swipe down on the screen of your phone to get the search bar then type in language directly.
On the same page, you can change the region. Just try a different option.
Change language and region on the iPhone:
Go to Settings on your iPhone then general. Touch Language and region. Touch iPhone Language to change the main language to English (United Kingdom) or English (United States) or any other options.
8. Contact the HONOR Service center if the above doesn’t solve your problem.
