Taking selfies has always been one of the main things that most millennials do on their smartphones. But beyond that, mobile gaming has seen impressive growth in the last few years. Thankfully, there are devices like the HONOR 10 Lite which can handle both things well.

Let's start on the selfie department. The HONOR 10 Lite brags a pixel-packed 24-megapixel front-facing camera, partnered with a decent software that has a lot of novelty features.

In addition, there's the AI Beatification mode, which can analyze your facial features and apply the appropriate filter. Alternatively, you can customize it yourself with up to ten different levels.

The AI Beauty mode works really well. It can apply the right amount of filter, without the image looking too artificial or fake.

There's also the Bokeh mode, which can decently blur the background, even with just a single camera used. It can provide a believable depth-of-field effect. However, it does struggle on the edges in some scenarios.

The software also has four different lighting effects. Just like the Bokeh mode feature, the combination of camera and software allows the handset to separate the subject from the background. It can provide different lighting effects. However, I see it more usable if you want to disregard any distractions on the background.

Besides the selfie-snapper, HONOR also took their time on the primary camera too. The HONOR 10 Lite is equipped with 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras packed with an f/1.8 aperture and AI scene recognition. It also comes with a Night Mode feature, similar to other flagship devices.

Other than taking pictures, everyone would also enjoy gaming on this smartphone. The HONOR 10 Lite sports the latest Kirin 710 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and Mali-G51 MP4 graphics supported by the proprietary GPU Turbo 2.0 technology.

The HONOR 10 Lite was able to provide a great gaming experience during my testing. PUBG Mobile was playable at Medium settings with really smooth frame rates. NBA 2K19 also ran seamlessly on this thing.

The HONOR 10 Lite also has a 6.21-inch FHD+ IPS screen, providing you with enough screen estate and sharpness in every game you play and YouTube/Netflix videos you watch. The included 3,400mAh battery also means that you can enjoy consuming media longer.

Of course, it runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with HONOR's latest EMUI 9.0.1 interface. There's a fingerprint scanner on the back, and a face unlock feature that's enabled by its 24-megapixel primary camera.

Probably the most obvious desirable characteristic of the HONOR 10 Lite is its design. This part might be subjective, but I think a lot of you would agree that this phone is a stunner.

The unit that we have here is the signature Sky Blue variant. Unlike most devices, this one has a silver finish on top and a light blue tone on the bottom. This ultimately provides a surprisingly unique look, despite the mainstream popularity of color gradient smartphones.

Well, that's all the reasons why the HONOR 10 Lite is a great option for those looking for a great selfie device that can also game.

Besides having a good camera and capable processor, the HONOR 10 Lite also has other great features that make it an appealing smartphone for millennials.
