This Privacy Notice applies to the processing of your personal data in connection with HONOR SALE CAMPAIGN (“Competition”). The data controller for the Competition is Huawei Technologies (Netherlands) B.V. with its registered offices at Herikerbergweg 36, 1101 CM Amsterdam, the Netherlands. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "Huawei"). We understand the importance of your privacy. Please take the time to read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand how we process your personal data.
For you to be able to participate in the Competition it is necessary for Huawei to collect the following personal data: - Name, address, email address, telephone number - We collect this personal data from you directly.
We use only the minimum amount of personal data that is necessary to operate the Competition to: - select the competition winner - arrange logistics for delivery of the prize, if you are the winner - receiving the newsletter We use your personal data for the organization and logistics of the Competition, and in our legitimate interests for internal reporting purposes to keep track of our activities and for reference in regard to future projects. If you are the winner, we may need to collate additional personal data to organize the logistics and health and safety of the gift. If we collect any of these types of additional personal data, we will request your explicit consent to do so first. Additionally, with your consent, we may also use your personal data in our legitimate interests for marketing purposes to inform you of Huawei offers, products, services or events we think may be of interest to you.
(1) Sharing with service providers: We use webpower to help run the Competition. They will only have access to your personal data as required to fulfill their contractual obligations to us in providing services in connection with the Competition. Our service providers are carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and will not process your personal data for any other purposes. (2) Legal or regulatory disclosures: Huawei may share your data where there is a reasonable requirement to do so, for example, to meet requirements of applicable law and regulation, or in response to requests from regulators, courts or government agencies; or to establish or defend our legal rights. [Huawei complies with all applicable legal requirements to safeguard EU personal data transferred outside of the EEA. To share data within our corporate group we have entered into EU standard contractual clauses to ensure that an equivalent level of data protection applies to your personal data even where EU data protection law does not directly apply.
We retain your personal data for up to a maximum of 5 weeks for internal reporting purposes to keep track of our activities and for reference in regard to future projects. We store your data for the receipt of the newsletter as long as you want to receive our newsletter. You can object to further use at any time. Afterwards your data will be deleted or anonymized, as long as there are no legal storage periods.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to safeguard personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, use, modification, or loss, including by employing cryptographic technologies to ensure the confidentiality of data in transmission and deploying access control mechanisms to ensure that only limited and authorised personnel can access your personal data where there is a business need to do so.
To exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability in relation to your data, to contact our DPO, or if you have any complaint or query about how Huawei processes your personal data, submit your query via email, e.g., email@example.com.
