Warranty Policy

1. Preface

We sincerely hope you would be satisfied with the new product. Based on laws and regulations related to the protection of consumer rights and interests in Malaysia, Honor Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Honor”) has set out this Warranty Policy in which you could return, replace, or repair the products purchased in Malaysia.

2.2.1 Replacement services

2.2.1.1 Replacement Period

Within 7 days after purchasing (including 7 days), if a performance fault relates to a manufacturing defect in the product (Hardware functional fault), you can choose to replace it with the same model and specification or in-warranty repair services.

2.2.1.2 Replacement Guide

(1) If you purchased the product in retail store, please go to the service center to apply for replacement.

(2) If you purchased the product on the online store, please apply for replacement according to the guide on website.

(3) Please back up and delete your personal data before returning the device.

(4) It is recommended that you check the following list before applying for replacement:

a) Within warranty period from the date of purchase,if a performance fault that is not caused by human damage occurs on the host of the product, you could enjoy the free maintenance services.

b) (b) For accessories independent sale, the product warranty starting date is subject to the day when the purchase receipt or Proof of Purchase (hereinafter referred to as POP) is issued. Invoice, invoice copy, product warranty card can be used as POP. If you are unable to provide the receipt (POP), the warranty start date will be 90 days after the manufactured date (indicated by device’s serial number). c) For accessories with device, the after-sales service shall be provided according to the valid warranty certificate of the host machine. If both the invoice and warranty card of the host machine are lost, SN of the host machine shall be used as the accessory to calculate whether the host machine is within the warranty period.

d) The product warranty starting date is subject to the day when the purchase receipt or Proof of Purchase (hereinafter referred to as POP) is issued.

2.2.2.2 Invoice, invoice copy, product warranty card can be used as POP. If you are unable to provide the receipt (POP), the warranty start date will be 90 days after the manufactured date (indicated by device’s serial number). (3) Before you return your device for repair or maintenance service, please back up your personal data.

(4) It is recommended that you bring along the POP when you are sending your device in for repair or maintenance service.

2.2.2.3 Commitment of Maintenance Quality

(1) Accessories and/or spare parts of the device that are replaced in non-warranty repair will get a limited warranty period of 90 days from (a) the collection date of the device (in the case of collection from Honor Authorized Service Center by the customer) or (b) the date of the device is returned to the customer via post (in the case of postal repair service), as the case may be.

2.2.3 Non-warranty scope

2.2.3.1 Non-warranty scope (excluding accessories).

(1) The accessories, such as the protective film, protective cover, and protective case that are not covered by warranty are specified during the purchase.

(2) Damage caused by transportation or loading and unloading during return or replacement or repair.

(3) Any modification, disassembly, or repair without Honor's authorization.

(4) The accessories do not belong to the original manufacturer.

(5) For accessories, no valid maintenance vouchers and valid invoices (excluding those that can prove that the products are within the warranty period).

(6) Product damage caused by accidental or man-made behaviors, such as liquid damage, falling, input unsuitable voltage, excessive extrusion, main board deformation, etc. And other phenomena are also included, for example, the power adapter is damaged, cracked, broken or deformed, and the power cable is damaged, broken or bare.

(7) Product faults or damage due to improper installation, use, or maintenance, is excluded from warranty coverage.

(8) Counterfeit or fake products not manufactured by Honor (including where the product model or number on the warranty certificate is inconsistent with the physical product or the warranty certificate was altered, or where the product nameplate, SN bar code, and warranty label are removed or damaged, or cannot be identified) are excluded from warranty cover.

(9) The warranty period has expired.

(10) Product faults or damage caused by force majeure events such as fire, earthquake, and flood, or similar events beyond the control of Honor are excluded from warranty cover.

(11) For those free gift HONOR Product by HONOR will not entitle for warranty.

(12) Other situation of non-warranty determined by Honor.

2.2.4 HONOR Care+

2.2.4.1 Extended Warranty

(1) The extended warranty service will be subject to the same terms of our standard warranty service terms as set out in this Warranty Policy.

(2) You are advised to check on HIHONOR Website for any latest changes to the terms of the Warranty Policy which can be updated from time to time by HONOR.

2.2.4.2 Screen Crack Protection

Below are the terms and conditions applicable to Screen Crack Protection:

(1) Screen Crack Protection is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase of the eligible products (“Screen Crack Protection Period”). Please note that only selected product models are eligible for the Screen Crack Protection.

(2) Screen Crack Protection is only applicable if it is due to or caused by internal or external cracked, damaged, or broken screen due to accidental collision, falling or dropping only.

(3) The screen crack replacement which are covered under the Screen Crack Protection will be free of charge for one time claim per device only during the validity period of the Screen Crack Protection but a service fee of RM60 will be charged for replacement of the screen. Please note that additional fees may be chargeable if there is any other parts damage as diagnosed by HONOR Authorized Service Center, kindly refer to https://www.hihonor.com/my/support/sparepart-price/ for the list of spare part price. (4) Any damage resulted and/or caused by any of the incidents below will be excluded from the Screen Crack Protection:
   (i) The Battery Care Service Period has expired, or the Battery Care has been used/claimed before during the Battery Care Service Period;
   (ii) Damage caused by theft, sand, liquid damage, corrosion, battery leakage, commercial usage;
   (iii) Problems or defects caused by unauthorized modifications or failure to follow the manufacturer’s installation, operation, or maintenance instructions.
   (iv) Damage that does not occur within the Screen Crack Protection period; and/or
   (v) Damage that is intentionally or deliberately caused by the Customers.

2.2.4.3 Battery Care

(1) Below are the terms and conditions applicable to Battery Care:
(a) Battery Care is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase of the eligible products (“Battery Care Service Period”). The eligible products and other spare parts shall be subject to the same terms of HONOR’s standard warranty service terms.
(b) Battery Care is valid for the eligible products with battery consumption and capacity of 84% or below within the Battery Care Service Period. Subject to the Battery Care Diagnosis described in Section 2.2.4.3 (1)(c) below, the eligible device will be entitled to a new battery replacement:
(c) Battery life diagnosis for the eligible products is based on the battery diagnosis detection tools result as well as the Window Battery Report (“Battery Life Diagnosis”). New battery replacement for the eligible products shall be subject to the final decision of HONOR Authorized Service Centers based on the said Battery Life Diagnosis.
(d) Customers are advised to check on HIHONOR Website for any latest changes to the terms of this Warranty Policy which can be updated from time to time by HONOR.
(e) Battery Care will become invalid in any of the following scenario:
   (i) The Battery Care Service Period has expired, or the Battery Care has been used/claimed before during the Battery Care Service Period;
   (ii) The device has been disassembled or repaired somewhere other than HONOR Authorized Service Centers;
   (iii) Any damage to the device is a result of mishandling or is caused by human factors;
   (iv) Any damage caused by liquid damage, corrosion;
   (v) Any issues or defects caused by unauthorized modifications or failure to follow the manufacturer’s installation, operation, or maintenance instructions; and/or
   (vi) Any damage that is intentionally or deliberately caused by the Customers.
   (vii) Battery Care is non-refundable and non-transferable. If the Customers successfully replaced the device, the replacement device will inherit remaining period of the warranty purchased.

3. Other terms and conditions

(a) Each of product used item which will have oxide chemical reaction which causes used product color may fade out or some peel off situation. During Service Center diagnosis and disassemble may have facing peel off or scratches issue at the back cover. The peel off spots is higher than 1CM will get new back cover replacement if product is still under warranty.

(b) Honor is not responsible for any other commitments that are not guaranteed by Honor made by the seller to the Customers.

(c) Customers agree and provide consent to HONOR to the use of any personal data as provided by the Customers for the purposes of the provision of the services by HONOR in line with the applicable personal data protection laws and regulations, to the extent that any personal data provided shall only be processed and be used by HONOR for lawful purpose directly related to the provision of services by HONOR, including but not limited to the purposes of promotional events, advertising, marketing and any administrative matters to facilitate the management and provision of the services by HONOR.

(d) By providing the personal data, Customers confirm that they had read, understood, and agreed to be bound by HONOR’s Privacy Policy stated at https://www.hihonor.com/my/support/service-privacy-notice/. Customers further agree that HONOR and/or its agent and/or its third-party service providers may contact them by telephone, email, or such other method in connection with the provision of the services by HONOR.

(e) By using the services provided by HONOR, Customers agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions hereinafter provided and HONOR’s decisions shall be final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained. HONOR reserves the rights to add, amend or vary these Terms and Conditions without any prior notice to the Customer.

(f) To the fullest extent permissible by laws, Customers agree to discharge and release HONOR and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, from any liabilities and claims (including from breach of contract, tort, negligence, or any other cause of actions at law or equity) arising out of or in any way connected to the services provided by HONOR under this Warranty Policy.

(g) This Warranty Policy shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
