我的荣耀 开启荣耀之旅
Honor Fan Fest is an annual event where Honor shows its appreciation to their supporting fans all over the world. I was really lucky to be invited to the Honor Fan Fest 2019 which is being held in Shenzhen, China. It all started when Honor Malaysia approached me asking if I’m available to attend the event on the 21st of December. Without much hesitation, I agreed to go. Who wouldn’t??
It took me 11 hours to go to Shenzhen all the way from Kuching to KL then to Guangzhou and took a road trip to Shenzhen. It was a very tiring yet exciting journey! To be honest, this is the first time for me to attend such a huge event overseas!
By the time I reached Seaview Gleetour Hotel Shenzhen, I was greeted by Honor’s friendly staff who worried so much about my lunch! (I only ate during my flight to Guangzhou in the morning, but I wasn’t starved at all. Too excited kot!) A big shout-out to Liya, who had been behind the scene, arranging all our flights, accommodations and transportation. She even took care of all our meals!
There were a total of 5 lucky fans from Honor Global Fan Club that attended the event which include me, Niccolo from Italy, Joris from Netherlands, Mohamed and Reham from Egypt. All 5 of us were given an Honor Magic Watch 2 as a gift!! (OMG! I wasn’t dreaming!) The only condition is that we need to review the watch after using it for 3 days.
After dinner, we had a short walk around town (Nanshan Qu) and the weather wasn’t as cold as I thought. The chilly breeze was nice though.

We fast forward to the 21st of December. We had our early breakfast in the hotel and went straight to Honor’s office inside Huawei’s HQ building.
We got to know some of the staff in Honor ( Kyla, Cissy and Caroline) who were handling most of the Honor Global social media platform. We had some ice breaking games and then we were presented with 5G technologies and most importantly, the chance to play with Honor V30 Pro which wasn’t launched in Malaysia yet.
We did a short interview before leaving the office for lunch.
Guess what? We were treated a steamboat lunch at the famous Haidilau!!! We don’t even have to queue for our turn as the Honor staff had book the tables! Food was nice and there were even performance during our meal!
We then headed to Windows of the world for the main event of Honor Fan Fest 2019. There were a lot of booths where fan gets to play the games and win some prizes. I was lucky to win a bluetooth speaker and a steam iron! My luck isn’t bad aye!
The main event started with Joris’s performance! It was a blast! The event followed other dance performance.
During the prize giving ceremony, all 5 of us were awarded with Honor Star trophy as a recognition for our contributions towards our respected Honor clubs.
During the second day (22nd December), we were brought to Huawei's Ox Horn Campus (华为牛角园区) constructed on the south shore of Songshan Lake, in Dongguan. There are twelve groups of buildings, based on European cities or regions, including Heidelberg Castle and Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, plus buildings in the style of Český Krumlov, Verona, Budapest, Granada.
The zones are connected together using a tram system modelled on trains supplied by Stadler Rail for the Jungfrau Railway in Switzerland.
After a light lunch, we were transported back to Window’s of the World for Honor’s product launching by George Zhao serves as global president of Honor. We had a bit of time before the event so we decided to walk around for photoshootings.
The highlight of the product launching were the Orange version of Honor V30 and it's latest Honor Magicbook (14" and 15") equipped with Intel's 10th Gen's processor!!
After the event, we get to meet James Zou, President of Sales & Service Overseas and had a little chit chat with him. It was an honor to meet him and trust me, he is a very down to earth person.
After we leave Windows of the world, we went straight to Honor’s User Experience Store in Futian Qu where we get to toy with all the products of Honor ranging from mobile phone to TV. We also had our final session of interview about Honor Magic Watch 2.
That was our last evening in Shenzhen and we had the greatest time of our life. Special thanks to Honor Malaysia and Honor Global Fans Club for making this trip a memorable one.
Thanks to Kyla and Letitia for the delicious milktea before sending us off the the airport.
I’m going to miss all of you in Shenzhen, Italy, Netherlands and Egypt! Until we meet again! Peace yo!
