In 2018, HONOR 7C and HONOR 7A are the new highly competitive entry-level phones of HONOR brand. The two phones which were launched in China in April and March respectively were available in India in May for below Rs 10,000. Both belong to HONOR 7 series, they are almost similar in terms of camera setup, screen resolution and battery capacity, while differ only in their chipsets and screen size. So we will focus on a complete comparison of their chipset today.

Snapdragon 430 is a slightly older than Snapdragon 450. From above table, significant differences were found between the two chipset in three aspects: Manufacturing Process, GPU, and DSP.
Compared to the faster Adreno 506, the 505 is manufactured in the older 28nm process and offers less raw performance. In other words, the Snapdragon 450 has the ante which is a more power-efficient 14 nm process that at the very least, allows for better battery life and higher clock speeds. The Snapdragon 450 chipset is more powerful than the Snapdragon 430 chipset.
Thus, both as an above average chipset in the price segment, Snapdragon 450 will give users a much more consistent performance and lesser throttling.
Different from CPU and GPU, the DSP excels in executing at low power such as sound and image enhancements, advanced camera and sensor capabilities, as well as signal-processing tasks. No doubt that the Hexagon DSP from Qualcomm Technologies has an efficient mobile architecture that delivers the most performance per MHz. Don't be too concerned.
It is worth saying again that HONOR 7A and 7C get the same cameras setup (13 MP Rear Camera and 8 MP Front Camera) and both support face and fingerprint unlock. Meanwhile, some interesting features like Histen's 3D sound effects, a Ride Mode and a Party Mode, can be found in the both.
