In May, 2018, HONOR has launched two new budget mobiles under Rs 10000 in India. While there are many mobiles in this category, there are quite a number of devices competing with each other. However, finding an all-rounder under Rs 10000 is rare. So what's distinctive about the two new HONOR mobiles this time?
As we all know, the one is HONOR 7A which is priced at just 8999 rupees in India.
The other is HONOR 7C whose original launched price in India is 9999 rupees.
They all give you Fingerprint scanner on the back panel, Best Rear & Selfie Camera, 32GB of built-in storage, 3GB RAM, Dual SIM card slot, Big Powerful Battery & 4G LTE. Besides, they all have feature displays with a cinematic 18:9 aspect ratio. The two mobiles have some interesting features like Histen's 3D sound effects, a Ride Mode and a Party Mode which lets users connect many phones to produce a single audio output.
For software front, they both run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with Emotion UI 8.0 (EMUI) on top. HONOR is always open to hearing feedback on new features that HONOR fans would want in the devices. So there is a good news. In the latest software update in July, both devices support Call Recording, the mostly requested feature by HONOR fans.
Overall, there are a few differences between the two models. The difference in price is clear. Let's take a look at the other differences.
For screen, the HONOR 7C features a larger 5.99-inch display, while the 7A comes with a 5.7-inch screen. But the HONOR 7A with a 14.48 cm display is slimmer than the 7C with a 15.21 cm. Some users may favor the slightly more comfortable handling experience that is available with the HONOR 7A. Some users may prefer the bigger one.
For chipset, while the 7A is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC (SD430), the 7C is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC (SD450). Which is more powerful? The SD 430, manufactured in the 28nm process, has 8 ARM Cortex-A53 Cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and it comes with the Adreno 505 GPU. So the SD 430 is one of the best budget processors considering its price to performance ratio. The SD450 features 8 ARM Cortex-A53 cores at up to 1.8 GHz and is already manufactured in the power efficient 14nm process. It also includes an Adreno 506 GPU with support for Vulkan and OpenGL ES 3.1. Both chipset could meet your needs, such as calls, web surfing, social networking and light games.
In conclusion, compared to the others mobiles under 10000, HONOR 7A and 7C stand out in a few areas, such as a large display size, above average camera, face unlock features and an above average chipset. Either of them is a good option for those looking for a budget smartphone in the market.
