Statement About HONOR Talents Global Design Awards and Privacy

The HONOR Talents Global Design Awards is a global contest operated by HONOR Device Co., Ltd (Suite 3401, Unit A, Building 6, Shum Yip Sky Park, No. 8089, Hongli West Road, Xiangmihu Street, Futian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China) (Hereinafter referred to as "HONOR" and "we", "us" or "our"), which will serve as your contracting entity and data controller. HONOR takes your personal information and privacy protection very seriously, and we will provide appropriate security protection measures for your personal information in accordance with legal requirements and mature industry-level security standards.

1. What Data Do We Collect About You?

We shall collect and process the following data:

•HONOR ID information: such as HONOR ID identifier, nickname, profile picture, the country authorized by HONOR ID when you sign in with your HONOR ID.

•Contest information, such as (i) your profile information (including gender, age range, country and introduction) and contact information (including your phone number and email address) which are collected when you participate in the contest, (ii) your contest submissions (images and videos) and the metadata thereof, such as entry name, category, track, design theme, current college (if it is a college entry), entry description which are collected when you are submitting your works, and (iii) contest identifier, if you are a prize/reward winner of the contest, your contact information (such as name, address, phone number, and email address), bank account information, and scanned copy of your ID card or passport may be requested in the event of personal income taxes being withheld. Such information may be collected after you win a prize/reward and will be used to send the prize/reward. We also collect the information that you provide to us and the content you send us, such as questions or information you provide for customer service support.

•Service usage information, such as uploaded contest entries and records (including your entries (images and videos) and the metadata thereof), clicks, timestamps of different usage activities, user agreement signing records, and customer communication (by email).

2. How Do We Use Your Data?

To provide you with the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards, it requires us to collect and process your data for the purposes of customer relationship and administrative matters to facilitate and organize the contest, support and communication (such as allowing you to participate in the contest, sending important information about the contest, and contacting you if you win the prize), delivering prizes to winners, customer complaints handling, maintenance, software and system updates, identification, as well as diagnostics and repair purposes.

You need an HONOR ID and need to authorize us to access your HONOR ID information for you to log in to the contest website or participate in the contest. You shall guarantee that the personal information provided by you is complete and accurate. We shall contact you to verify your registration information if your submissions have been shortlisted or after the announcement of the award winners has been made. If an award cannot be distributed to you due to incomplete or inaccurate personal information, it shall be deemed that you have waived the right to claim the award, and no award shall be distributed to you.

In addition, we use your personal data for the following purposes based on legitimate interest:

• Analytics and development purposes, including analyzing your gender, age, and location if you have provided such information so we can optimize the operation of this contest. You can object to such data processing as described in Section 5.5 below.

• Information security purposes, including detecting or preventing various types of misuse of services and frauds in order to provide you with secure and reliable services.

3. How do we store your data?

We will determine where your personal data is stored based on the location you choose when signing in with your Honor account.

For example, for participants from China, the account information and entry information at the time of enrollment will be stored on servers in China.

For participants from Asia, Middle-East, Africa, and Latin America, the account information and entry information at the time of enrollment will be stored on servers in Malaysia.

For participants from the EU/EEA, the account information and entry information at the time of enrollment will be stored on servers in France.

For participants from Russia, the account information and entry information at the time of enrollment will be stored on servers in Russia.

The specific retention time of your personal data in relation to HONOR Talents Global Design Awards is set out below:

•Personal data processed for customer relationship management, such as complaints, data subject requests, and contract management for up to six (6) years.

•Award records and information processed to fulfill our legal, tax, audit, and accounting obligations, and information about the winners of the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards, such as bank account information, address, phone number, for seven [7] years.

•The Contest information (such as your profile information and submitted entries information) for 12 months from the end of the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards or until you have deleted the entries yourself. Entries that have received an award will be stored for 12 months unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.

•The contact information of award-winners (including name, address, phone number, and email address) for 12 months from the end of the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards.

Once the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.

4. Do we share your data?

We only share your data in the following ways:

In order to ensure a good user experience, we will embed third-party content or web links on the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards website. When you visit the content or web link, we will only redirect you to the third-party content or web links and we will not share any data with third parties. At the same time, please understand that we have no control over these third parties. When you submit personal information on third-party websites, please read and refer to the third party's privacy protection policy.

HONOR will publish based on your consent your entry around the world (if you are a finalist or winner) on the official website of the contest, and may also display the name, picture, and video of said entry, as well as your nickname, via partner channels, for example, HONOR Community.

For fulfilling the purposes of your participation in the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards and for the purposes of review and entry selection, we will transfer your uploaded entries (such as your submitted images, videos, and their names, descriptions, tag, and categories) to HONOR affiliates and subsidiaries or other designated trusted businesses or persons operating under contract and acting on behalf of us.

In order to send official information and collect personal data in a unified manner, the email of winners will be transferred to China. If you are the winner, when we send you prizes/awards, we may transfer your contact information (such as name, address, phone number, email address, and bank account) and your scanned copy of ID card or passport outside your country (such as China).

We use as service provider MANPOWER SERVICES (HONG KONG) LIMITED(Rooms 2303-04, 9 Chong Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, China)to pay and deliver the prizes to the winners. They will only have access to your personal data (name, telephone number, shipping address, bank account, and scanned copy of ID card or passport if necessary) as required to fulfil their contractual obligations to us in providing payment services in connection with the Activity. Our service providers are carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and will not process your personal data for any other purposes.

In additional, we share your data:

• When required in response to a legal process or request from a competent authority according to applicable laws or in connection with a legal proceeding or process.

• When required as part of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service to an HONOR group entity or another company.

When transferring and disclosing your data outside the EU/EEA, where the local law may not provide the same level of protection, we shall comply with applicable legal requirements for providing adequate safeguards to such transfers by incorporating the European Commission's standard data protection clauses. 5 What are your rights and choices?

You have the following data subject rights and choices regarding your personal data.

5.1 Access your data

You can view your information regarding the HONOR Talents Global Design Awards that we have collected from you in the following ways:

(1) You can go to Personal Center to view your Account information, such as HONOR ID information (nickname, profile picture or video, and country) and additional information about the participant's account in the contest (such as gender, age range, and contact information such as a phone number and/or email address).

(2) You can go to My Gallery to view your contest submissions (images and videos and the metadata thereof)

For additional access requests, please contact us. We will contact you to verify your identity in order to proceed with your request.

5.2 Rectify your data

In order to keep your data up-to-date and accurate, you can access and modify your data by going to Personal Center or My Gallery on the website. In the following two circumstances, you will be restricted to modify your data in order to ensure the fairness of the contest:

(1) You cannot modify short-listed or award-winning submissions.

(2) You cannot modify submissions after submission Deadline (which means the contest has entered the selection and review phase).

For additional rectification requests, please contact us. When making a request, you should specify the scope of the data that you want to rectify. We will contact you to verify your identity in order to proceed with your request.

5.3 Port your data

You can port the data about the contest submissions (images/video) that you have provided to us in My Gallery on the website.

For additional data portability requests, including data processing in visitor mode, please contact us. We will contact you to verify your identity in order to proceed with your request.

5.4 Erase your data

You can erase your data by going to My Profile, and My Gallery on website. In the following two circumstances, you will be restricted to modify in order to ensure the fairness of the Awards.

You may at any time:

• Delete your personal data of contest participation extra account information, such as contest participation account information (such as gender, age group, country, introduction, and contact information such as a phone number and/or email address) in My Profile on the website.

• Delete your submissions in My Gallery on the website. In order to ensure the fairness of the Awards, there are the following restrictions on what you can delete:

(1) You cannot delete short listed or award-winning submissions.

(2) You cannot delete submissions after the submission deadline, as the competition is still ongoing at this point.

• Delete your personal data in HONOR MAGIC MOMENTS Awards by going to My Profile > Delete account. You will be requested to delete your previous submissions first.

• Object to the processing of your data, as described in Section 5.5. As a result, we shall erase the data that falls within the scope of your valid objection if we no longer have legal basis to continue processing the data.
Contact us if you think the processing of your personal data is unlawful and your data should be erased.

We will erase or anonymize your personal data without undue delay when necessary based on your aforementioned actions and in accordance with the retention periods detailed in Section 3.

5.5 Object to processing

If you want to object to the processing of your data for analytical, development or marketing purposes, please contact us.

When making the request, please specify the scope of the request and provide us with the email address or phone number that you used to log in to your HONOR ID.

We will contact you to verify your identity in order to proceed with your request.

5.6 Restrict processing

If you want to restrict the processing of your personal data, please contact us. You have the right to restrict the processing of your data in the following circumstances:

• Your data is unlawfully processed, but you do not want to erase it.

• You have a legal claim that you need to establish, exercise, or defend, and you requested us to keep your data when we would not keep it otherwise.

• Your request for objection is pending our verification.

When making the request, please specify the scope and the grounds for the request and provide us with the email address or phone number that you used to log in to your HONOR ID.

We will contact you to verify your identity in order to proceed with your request.
