About MagicOS/Magic UI Security Updates

HONOR will release monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly security updates for the following products.
Each security update includes patches for security issues related to Android system, as well as patches specifically addressing security issues of HONOR products.

¹The models eligible for monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly security updates may change as the launch of new products and the end of the maintenance period for older products.

Additionally, some carriers may only support bi-monthly or quarterly security updates for the models eligible for monthly security updates mentioned above.

HONOR attaches great importance to your security and will do the best to provide the latest security patches for your Android smart devices. However, there are several factors that may affect when you receive these updates.

1. Prolonged time is needed for regular system maintenance or upgrade, which may result in delays in security updates.

2. Security updates are released in batches, so please be patient if you haven't received the update yet.

3. Some patches require long testing times and may not be included in the current month's security update. Once the patches are ready for delivery, they will be included in the upcoming security update.

4. HONOR is committed to providing security patch updates for all models within their maintenance period, but please note that the delivery time may vary by region and model. In some cases, due to force majeure, the security patch update date may be adjusted based on actual circumstances.
