Hey there HONOR fans ? I want to share with you a bit of the wonderful time I've been walking through the city of Aveiro, on the north region of Portugal. Aveiro is known as "Portuguese Venice" because of the river and canals that goes through the city, not do much as in Venice, or Amsterdam though hehe, but is very beautiful. You can go through them on a traditional boat called "moliceiro". Arte Nova and Art Deco buildings, inspired by modernist trends are all over the city! The Arte Nova architecture was built by wealthy families from Brazil; their buildings included homes and shops. Traditional Portuguese decorations such as tiles were used. The concept did not last for a long time, but its presence is very distinctive in Aveiro. There are several attractions in the city of Aveiro, including cathedrals, canals and the beaches, including the Ílhavo ceramica de Vista Alegre and the beaches of Barra, Costa Nova do Prado, and Gafanha da Nazaré. At Costa Nova you will find the striped colorful houses, that are known as "palheiros" which in Portuguese means haystack. They were used by the fishermen to store their fishing nets. Because, you got it, Costa Nova has always been a typical fishermen village. But now they're like holidays rent houses. There are also beautiful beaches and the Barra Lighthouse. You'll also be able to see a lot of storks nests when traveling by car through different places of the region. And there's also on Torreira, a palafitic pier! The Quintas do Norte Palafitic Pier. Hope you enjoyed this Virtual Tour too one of the most beautiful cities I've been in Portugal, the pictures were made with HONOR Magic 3 Pro+.
